The plantation has been envisaged to cover over 15,000 hectares of land with millions of palms.  Feasibility studies were made by the Sustainable Land Use Systems Promotion (SLUSP). More than 1000 palms at the Nkuv Palm Plantation.  Negotiations are going on with foreign donors on the expansion of the field and the implantation of an oil mill.  This project is designed to instill the oil culture in the Kumbo Urban municipality, increase council revenue, create employment, and improve the living standards for citizens. More than 50 people have been temporally employed at the plantation, specifically for the digging of holes, transportation of seedlings, planting and clearing, fire tracing and most especially for patrol.
