KUMBO URBAN
ROADS
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT: |

Kumbo Urban Roads Design and Improvement Project, submitted
to the Ministry of Urban development and Housing for the
PPTE.
This is a project whereby the council seeks assistance for the
tarring of the roads in Kumbo. Roads remain a serious problem in
Kumbo, and this has slowed down development, despite the efforts put
in place by the Council. |

DOMESTIC SOLID
WASTE
MANAGEMENT
: |

|
Domestic Solid Waste Management, in the Kumbo Urban
Municipality, submitted to the French Cooperation for funding.
This study looks at the various ways on
which waste can be disposed of in the Kumbo Urban Municipality. |

|
THE TOBIN WATER SUPPLY
PROJECT : |
|
Tobin Water Supply project also submitted to French
Cooperation for Funding.
The people of
Tobin experience frequent water shortages during the dry season.
This problem has caused the council to design a project to that
effect, in order to ensure constant water supply in this area. .Some
Village Water Schemes, project has also been handed to FEICOM for
funding.

THE KUMBO
COUNCIL TOWN HALL

The Kumbo Council Town Hall, submitted to FEICOM for
funding.
The
Kumbo Council plans to construct a befitting Town hall
for the municipality. This project has been submitted to
FEICOM, pending approval. |

|
THE
SHISONG
ROAD PROJECT : |
|
|
The City of San Donato, in Italy, Milanese pledged to
construct Shisong Road.
The Mayor and the Wealth Creation Officer
paid a return visit to San Donato in 2005 the signing of
the twinning agreement was effected. During the return
visit, the Citta di San Donato Milanese pledged to tar
the Shisong road. The Council’s engineer in 2006 also
visited San Donato to carry out technical studies with
the engineer of that city. At the moment, resources are
being mobilized to that effect. |

THE CONSTRUCTION OF
10 CLASSROOMS : |

The Council hopes to construct some ten classrooms in
some schools identified for that need within the
Municipality. This project has been handed to FEICOM,
for approval. |

THE SCHOOLS
SANITARY
FACILITIES : |
|
Sanitary facilities for some of our schools equally submitted
to FEICOM.
This
project looks at ways which the sanitary conditions of
some schools in the Kumbo Municipality can be improved
upon. This includes schools toilets and urinals. By the
project, the Kumbo Council hopes to construct modern
toilets in these schools. |

DRAINAGE
STRUCTURES IN KUMBO |
|
|
Drainage structures in our Municipality, also handed to
FEICOM.
The council plans to construct some drainage structures in the Kumbo
Municipality, in areas where there is strong need for those. This
shall include bridges, culvert, bridges and culverts. |
